Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumerate Powder

Tiamulin is a drug of choice in the treatment of swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodeysentreiae and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multicida. It is also used in porcine intestinal adenomatosis (Lawsonia intracellularis), arthritis (Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, M. bovis) and chronic sinusitis (2ñ5).

An antibacterial drug, tiamulin is used in veterinary medicine (generally as its hydrogen fumarate salt) for the treatment of swine dysentery caused by Serpulina hyodysenteriae. It has a role as an antibacterial drug.

Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is a semisynthetic derivative of pleuromutilin. Tiamulin is active against gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasmas, and anaerobes, including Brachyspira hyodysenteriae. It is also clinically effective in treatment of swine dysentery and mycoplasmal arthritis.

Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is a semisynthetic derivative of the diterpene antibiotic pleuromutilin used in poultry medicine to treat mainly Mycoplasma- and Brachyspira-related diseases.
